Wesley Clay has joined Carter Hawley Hale Stores Inc. as vice president and fashion director.

Clay, 42, was most recently with National Designer as vice president of trends and design.

In this newly created position, he reports to Carol Greer, vice chairman of merchandising for women’s apparel, accessories and cosmetics.

The Los Angeles-based company operates the Broadway department store chain.
