Carol Moseley-Braun Adds a Little Dash to Her Profile

WASHINGTON — On Tuesday, Illinois’ Carol Moseley Braun added the title “Sen.” to her name. On Thursday, she gave herself a hyphen.
On the official Senate telephone list and roll call, she was under the “M’s”--as in Moseley Braun, Carol. But the new senator feared that people might find that confusing and might drop her maiden name. So, an aide said, she decided on a hyphen: Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun.
