New Noodles Place: The pasta craze continues.

Now comes a new Costa Mesa restaurant called Oodles, which rhymes with what the company hopes customers will buy in large quantities.

The small eatery, which offers sit-down, takeout and delivery service, specializes in Asian cuisine. Noodles show up in just about everything--fried rice noodles in the Chinese chicken salad, steamed noodles in spicy pork and vegetable dishes.

“Noodle dishes provide a pleasing selection of either hot-and-spicy or mid-and-flavorful season blends,†said Ed Engoron, a consultant who helped with the restaurant’s menu.

The restaurant opened Dec. 29.
