THOUSAND OAKS : Paraplegic Man Found Dead in Van
A paraplegic found dead in his van apparently suffered a seizure caused by a urinary tract infection, the coroner’s office said Tuesday.
An autopsy revealed that Louie Oscar Angelini, 47, of Thousand Oaks died from a massive internal infection caused by a broken catheter, said Ventura County Deputy Coroner Craig Stevens.
Angelini’s body was found Monday evening in a silver Dodge van that was parked outside an apartment complex in the 1800 block of West Hillcrest Drive. The body was discovered by one of the apartment’s residents, police said.
It was not known whether Angelini lived in the van, police said.
Stevens said Angelini had been dead for at least a day.
Angelini’s relatives in Thousand Oaks said they had not seen him for six months, Stevens said.
