Dream Home Survey Planned: National Survey Systems, the Irvine consumer research company that has earned a national reputation for itself with its Home Buyer Satisfaction Survey, has been picked by the National Assn. of Home Builders to conduct focus group consumer research that will figure in the design of the New American Home for 1994.
The New American Home is a prototype house featuring everything the typical consumer wants--or thinks he or she wants--in a home. One is built each year in conjunction with the annual NAHB national convention.
For 1994, when the convention will be held in Las Vegas, the New American Home will be built in a master-planned community there.
One other Orange County company will be deeply involved in the project. Adapting the consumer input from National Survey Systems’ work to the overall design of the house will be Costa Mesa architects McLarand, Vasquez & Partners.
