Fox News: KTTV-TV Channel 11 is starting the new year with some changes in the news department. Larry Croner, who joined Fox 11 News as a producer in 1990, has been promoted to managing editor. Kim Paul Friedman, an Emmy-winning producer and director, returns to the station to be executive producer of its new morning newscast. . . . Friends of late KTTV and KABC newsman Wayne Satz have scheduled a “remembrance” in his honor for 7-9 p.m. Monday at Residual$ in Studio City. Satz died Dec. 24 of an apparent heart attack. He was 47.
