WOMEN’S BASKETBALL : San Diego State Upsets USC, 63-61

San Diego State upset No. 14-ranked USC, 63-61, on Sunday at San Diego.
USC shot 44.7%, compared to 39.2% for the Aztecs, but was outrebounded, 42-25.
Falisha Wright, a guard, led San Diego State with 19 points, including four three-pointers, and also had six rebounds.
Lisa Leslie led USC with 17 points and nine rebounds.
USC (6-2) came from behind to tie the score, 50-50, with 6:13 remaining after Jualeah Woods scored six consecutive points. The Aztecs (8-1) then went on a 7-0 run in the next three minutes and led, 57-50.
Nicky McCrimmon, USC’s starting point guard, missed the game because of a knee injury.
