Pair Arrested After Baby Is Found Alone in Hotel Room

RENO, Nev. — A California couple were arrested after allegedly leaving their 15-month-old child alone in a hotel room, officers said.
Suneung and Kyung Eun Ahn of Albany were booked into the Washoe County Jail early Saturday morning for investigation of child endangerment, police said, after a security officer found the child crying in a room at the Peppermill Hotel-Casino.
The 32-year-old father showed up about 30 minutes later and was arrested, officers said. The 31-year-old mother was arrested as she was playing slot machines in the casino.
The child was placed with the Washoe County Welfare Division.
“A security officer heard a child crying,” said Lt. Nick Bloomster. “The child continued to cry. He then used his passkey to get in.”
