The Mesa Consolidated Water District’s unique yearlong program designed to give residents the chance to learn more about local and regional water issues will begin next month at the district’s headquarters.

Starting its seventh successful year, the free Water Issues Study Group program was developed to educate and inform community members on important water issues.

Monthly lectures will focus on such topics as local ground water supplies, water quality, reclaimed water and importation of water. Participants will also learn the water district’s long-range plan to provide water to the community and tour local and regional water facilities, including a water quality treatment facility and the San Joaquin Reservoir.
