BOWLING FOR BUCKS: Neither USC nor Fresno State will get rich playing in Tuesday’s Freedom Bowl football game at Anaheim Stadium. Each will get $650,000, near the bottom of bowl game payouts, and then will have to share that with other schools in their conferences. . . . Only the new Las Vegas Bowl, played Dec. 18 between Nevada and Bowling Green, pays less: $150,000. . . . The Rose Bowl, matching the champions of the Pacific 10 and Big 10, offers the biggest bonus, a whopping $6.5 million per school.
