Debate over Elevated Rail

I have long thought it not only cost-effective, but safer, to be above Los Angeles’s streets than below them, and so I am pleased that the county transit authorities have approved a monorail which will travel above our freeways (“Has the Monorail Era Arrived in Los Angeles?” Times Valley Edition, Dec. 7).
