Garfield 60, Jefferson 56--Center Alex Gomez scored 32 points and led Garfield’s second-half comeback in the second round of the L.A. Invitational at East L.A. Garfield, using a full-court press, outscored Jefferson, 6-2, to begin the fourth quarter and never trailed after that.
Dante Harris scored 17 points to lead Jefferson, which played earlier in the L.A. Officials tournament.
