Swelling synths, dump-dump-da-da-dump drum fills and knock-’em-dead choruses abound. But her bag of by-now familiar vocal tricks isn’t producing the way it once did--something that’s blatantly clear on “The Heart Won’t Lie,” a duet with Vince Gill in which she’s dramatically outclassed.
