PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Small Streak Is on the Line
- Share via
If wide receiver Mervyn Fernandez does not catch a pass in today’s game at Washington, it will be the first time in his six-year NFL career with the Raiders that he did not catch at least 10 passes in a season.
Fernandez, who has not seen much action this season, has only nine catches for 121 yards in 15 games. His previous low came in 1987, when he caught 14 passes for 236 yards in seven games before being placed on injured reserve.
Rookie offensive tackle Greg Skrepenak will not play because of a knee injury he suffered during the second half of the Raiders’ 36-14 loss to San Diego on Sunday. . . . Offensive tackle Steve Wright will be making his first appearance since going on the injured reserve list in October.
