DANCING LIGHTER: Only one of the 46 prestigious National Endowment for the Arts fellowship grants this week went to a local artist. Classical East Indian dancer and choreographer Ramya Harishankar of Irvine was delighted with more than just the two-year, $20,000 grant she won to choreograph future works. . . . “It makes a difference when your work is acknowledged,� says Harishankar. She is the artistic director of the Arpana Dance Company.
