Von Lutzow Chosen for Big West Honor
IRVINE — UC Irvine forward Jeff Von Lutzow, who averaged 26.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in two games last week, was named the Big West Conference player of the week Monday.
The Anteaters (1-3) lost to Missouri Kansas City on Friday and defeated Mississippi Valley State on Saturday.
Von Lutzow, a senior, has three double-doubles in three games, and is shooting 55.6% from the field, 41.2% from three-point range and 80.8% from the line.
Von Lutzow averaged 12.5 points and 5.7 rebounds last season.
