Intellectual Property Stalemate: The United States and Taiwan last week wrapped up five days of talks on protection of intellectual property without agreement. The talks, follow-ups on a June 5th agreement, included discussion of export licensing of computer software, patent protection for pharmaceutical products and enforcement of patent laws. The two will meet again in March.
