BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : THURSDAY’S GAMES
Westchester 80, Washington 66--Westchester sophomore guard Ben Sanders scored 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and older brother Jason scored 22 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Comets handed the Generals their first loss of the season in a nonconference game.
Westchester surrendered only three field goals to Washington in the third quarter and held the Generals to 34% field-goal shooting in the game.
Washington guard Craig Slaughter scored 27 points and forward Dayron Harris chipped in 21 points to lead the Generals.
Records: Washington 2-1; Westchester 6-2.
