SANTA PAULA : Family Robbed at Gunpoint in Home
A Santa Paula family was robbed at gunpoint by three adult males who allegedly entered the family’s home trying to sell them some unknown property, police said Monday.
Shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday, three men knocked on the door of Jose Hernandez’s home in the 300 block of East Ventura Street.
When Hernandez and his wife told the men that they were not interested in buying anything, two of the suspects forced their way into the home. One of the men allegedly pulled a gun and another had a knife, police said.
The Hernandezes, along with two other adults and two small children in the house, were ordered to sit down and not look at the suspects, police said.
The three men then ransacked the house and stole some items before fleeing in an unidentified car.
