MONEY DRIBBLES: The basketball team at tiny Southern California College (890 students) hasn’t beaten a Division I NCAA opponent in 12 years, so why did Coach Bill Reynolds put his team in the Disneyland Freedom Bowl Classic at UCI next month? . . . Simple: the money the schools get for participating. . . . “Put it this way,†says Reynolds: His team traveled to Hawaii for a tournament last weekend, “and this sure beats selling Christmas trees for a fund-raiser†for uniforms and recruiting.
