Glendale : EPA Cleanup List Grows
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has added three names to its list of property owners who may be held liable for a $25-million cleanup of contaminated ground water in south Glendale.
Additions to the list, which now includes a dozen properties, are Courtaulds Aerospace Inc., 5430 San Fernando Road, Glendale; ITT Fluid Products Corp., 801 Allen Ave. and 1200 Flower St., Burbank; and multiple owners of property at 5430 San Fernando Road, Glendale, represented by Carl M. Buck Jr. of Los Angeles.
Investigations are continuing and more property owners may be named. Those found liable will be required to pay for the cleanup, which could take at least a dozen years.
