The Orange County Musicians’ Club, a group of members of Musicians’ Union Local 7, grossed $17,000 for emergency relief and scholarships with its 22nd annual Bash at the Red Lion Inn in Costa Mesa Sunday, “about $5,000 more than last year,” according to club and local president Frank Amoss. “It was wonderful. It was a successful, exciting day that topped anything we had done in the past.” More than 1,000 people turned out to hear 350 musicians from the area, all of whom donated their services, playing everything from chamber music to rhythm & blues.
