Outlook: Edison lost 13 players to graduation, but it won’t hurt much because most weren’t starters. Five Chargers were members of a club team that finished third in the under-16 national championship last summer. The team is reacting well to a tough conditioning program, which includes a mandatory two-mile time trial. “Last year, hardly anyone passed the first time,†McGrath said. “This year, most of them passed. I was pretty happy about that.â€
