Ramona Teacher’s Innovations Honored

Tim Motherhead, an industrial-arts teacher at Ramona Middle School in La Verne, has won the Golden Bell Award from the California School Board Foundation for his program to introduce seventh- and eighth-graders to the world of technology.
Motherhead, who has taught at the school in the Bonita Unified School District since 1971, converted his traditional wood and metal shop program to other education modules, including telecommunications, desktop publishing, videos, robotics and architecture.
