Max Montoya was surprised. Pleasantly surprised.
The 36-year-old guard, who returned to full-time duty Sunday for the first time in nine weeks, felt a twinge in his right knee only once during the game.
It was a partially torn ligament in that knee that had sidelined the 14-year veteran.
