Astro Sciences Rebounds, Posts Profit of $282,288
Astro Sciences Corp., a Chatsworth manufacturer of communications software, reported a profit of $282,288 for its fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30, rebounding from a year-earlier loss of $79,857.
The company’s profit came on revenue of $2.45 million, up from $712,575 a year earlier. The latest results boosted the company’s six-months’ profit to $510,412 on revenue of $4.97 million, contrasted to a loss of $160,345 on revenue of $1.2 million for the same period a year ago. Astro Sciences, parent of J&L; Information Systems Division, attributed its improved finances to new products introduced last year and increased production capabilities.
