Ira Jaffe has been named president of Famous Music Publishing Cos., the music publishing wing of Paramount Pictures.
Jaffe, brother of Paramount Communications President Stanley Jaffe, replaces Robert D. Fead, who resigned, according to the company.
Ira Jaffe’s music publishing experience includes stints at Screen Gems, EMI, Chappell/Intersong Music Group USA and NEM Entertainment.
Jaffe and Famous Music’s chairman and chief executive, Irwin Z. Robinson, have worked together four times in the past. Famous Music represents acts such as Boyz II Men and country newcomer Suzy Boggus. Paramount said Fead “resigned to pursue other interests.â€
