Bell Gardens 28, Keppel 6--After being shut out in the first half, Bell Gardens scored three touchdowns in the third quarter to avert an upset in an Almont League game at Keppel High.
Francisco Samano rushed 13 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns, and German Chavez had 12 carries for 69 yards, including a five-yard touchdown that started the third-quarter scoring spree for Bell Gardens. Quarterback Ricky Oropeza ran 13 times for 72 yards and a touchdown.
