UCLA Gets Bye in NCAA Soccer

The 28-team field for the NCAA Division I men’s soccer tournament was announced Monday and UCLA is top-seeded in the West Region and received a first-round bye.
The sixth-ranked Bruins, will play a second-round game on Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. at UCLA’s North Soccer Field.
UCLA, which won national championships in 1985 and 1990, plays the winner of Saturday’s first-round game between unranked Stanford (11-7-2) and 20th-ranked University of San Diego (15-4).
UCLA is making its 10th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance. Cal State Fullerton (12-6), ranked 25th, was not selected.
