INDUSTRY : Arco Offers $10,000 Reward in Shootings
A $10,000 reward has been offered by Arco for information leading to the arrest and conviction of four men who shot two people in an attempted carjacking Oct. 24 in the City of Industry.
At 3:15 a.m. that day, four men in a white Volkswagen Rabbit tried to commandeer a Toyota camper parked at an Arco convenience mart at 13760 Valley Blvd. When the driver of the truck, Mark Garcia, tried to pull away, one assailant fired two rounds from a shotgun through the passenger window.
Garcia was wounded in the head, neck and hand, and lost two fingers. His passenger, Denise Perez, lost her right eye and part of her lips and nose. Three young children sleeping in the back of the camper escaped injury.
Information is being sought by deputies at the City of Industry sheriff’s station.
