Major Airlines Report Increased Passenger Traffic: American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta Air Lines reported double-digit gains in passenger traffic in the last month, the first full month since the spring that figures weren’t inflated by half-price tickets. But the increases may have reflected 30% discounts for domestic and transatlantic trips this fall. Last year, major airlines had offered discounts only on selected routes.
