Hit-Run Driver Kills Father, Girl
A hit-and-run driver killed a Compton man and his 6-year-old daughter as they crossed a street with another child Monday afternoon, police said.
Ignacio Duenas, 52, of Compton, and his daughter, Elizabeth, were hit by a “large truck which drove off without stopping,†said Compton Police Lt. Steve Roller.
Duenas died at the scene, Roller said. His daughter died an hour later at a hospital, he said.
