Axline obituary--The name of Rea A. Axline was misspelled in a headline in Tuesday’s edition. In addition, the obituary failed to mention that there will be no services. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Axline’s memory to the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego.
He is survived by his wife, Lela (Jackie), and a niece, Joan C. Eckart of San Francisco.
A native of Albion, Ida., Axline attended UC Berkeley and the U. S. Naval Academy. He received a graduate degree from the California Institute of Technology.
