Westchester : Loyola Gets Endowment

Loyola Marymount University has received a $1.5 million gift to establish an endowed chair in English.
The gift is from the Fletcher Jones Foundation, a California-based nonprofit public benefit corporation.
According to a university spokesman, the money will be used to recruit a distinguished teacher and scholar of national reputation who will enhance the intellectual life of the Westchester campus.
