Francis Parker 55, Bishop’s 37--Scott Schneider threw eight touchdown passes in a game for the third time in his career and became the San Diego Section’s career leader with 38 to lead Francis Parker (4-3, 2-0). The previous record was 32, set by Helix’s Jim Plum in 1981 and Fallbrook’s Scott Barrick in 1896, both in 11-man leagues. Schneider completed 25 of 46 passes for 350 yards in the eight-man game.
Matt Garrett caught 10 passes for 150 yards and Charles Pope caught eight for 142 and three touchdowns for Parker (4-3, 2-0).
Steve Vasil passed for four touchdowns for Bishop’s (2-3, 1-1).
La Jolla Country Day 14, Santa Fe Christian 13--Trigger Reital caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Chris Landry and Mark Smith ran for the conversion with 2:59 remaining in the game to lift LJCD (2-3, 2-0). Reital, who had five catches for 94 yards, also returned a kickoff 77 yards for a touchdown, intercepted three passes and had 12 tackles and seven assists. Landry completed nine of 18 for 117 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. SFC’s Noah Bowman threw for 104 yards on nine of 17 passing, but had four interceptions. Daryl Dalton had 94 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries for SFC (1-6, 0-3).
City Harbor League
St. Augustine 55, Marian 20--Josh Guidi returned a punt for a touchdown and had two sacks and Aaron Buckner completed six of eight passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns for St. Augustine (6-1, 2-0). Marian fell to 5-2, 1-1.
