Reseda 31, El Camino Real 7--Reseda (3-2, 1-1) used three quarterbacks in an injury-filled game to subdue visiting El Camino Real (1-4, 0-2).
Regent starter Reggie James threw for 89 yards and a touchdown and ran for another touchdown before suffering a sprained knee while intercepting a Ryan Venturine pass in the third quarter as a defensive back.
John Buckley, a tight end who had 89 yards receiving, replaced James at quarterback and connected on all seven of his passes while leading the Regents to a field goal.
Sophomore Nilson Espana replaced the uninjured Buckley on the next drive and led Reseda on a 51-yard scoring drive that was capped by Espana’s one-yard touchdown run.
Victor Sykes led El Camino Real with 108 yards in 13 carries, including a 20-yard touchdown run. Reseda held the Conquistadores to 26 yards passing.
