Verdugo Hills 35, Hollywood 6--Eddie Powell scored three touchdowns, including one on a 98-yard punt return, to lead the host Dons (1-3-1, 1-1). Powell scored his first touchdown on a second-quarter 25-yard interception return. He caught a 16-yard pass from David Bryant for a third-quarter score.
Bryant completed six of 13 for 81 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 61 yards in eight carries. James Galloway caught a 39-yard pass touchdown pass from Bryant just before halftime to give Verdugo Hills a 21-6 lead.
Hollywood (1-4, 0-2) gained only 36 yards and finished with minus-22 rushing yards.
