More than 20 community groups will have booths today in a city-sponsored Cultural Diversity Festival at the Glendale City Center Plaza, 101 N. Brand Blvd.
“We want to help make the public aware that these groups serve a diverse community,” said City Housing Administrator Ray Vargas, a member of the planning committee. He said more than 70 languages are spoken in Glendale, according to the school district’s language census.
Performances of multicultural music and an international food fair sponsored by area restaurants will highlight the celebration, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Admission is free. Tickets for food samples are $1.
