PORT HUENEME : Suspect in Stabbing Arrested in Modesto
A woman wanted in connection with the weekend stabbing of another woman in Port Hueneme was arrested in Modesto and transferred back to Ventura County, authorities said Tuesday.
Anasia Lynn Walker, 22, was arrested in Modesto on Monday on suspicion of attempted murder after Port Hueneme police officers learned that the woman had fled there, said Port Hueneme Police Sgt. Fernando Estrella.
Walker was sought after the stabbing early Saturday of Geraldine Abram, 40, who was found outside a residence in the 300 block of Second Street, Estrella said.
Abram was treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and released Sunday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Walker is in Ventura County Jail, where she is being held on $250,000 bail.
She is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. today.
