Murphy 8, Kilpatrick 7--David Gleason kicked a 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to lift the Nobles over the Mustangs at Marshall High.

Murphy took a 5-0 lead at halftime on a first-quarter safety and a Gleason field goal. Kilpatrick went ahead in the third quarter on a 14-yard pass from Cecilio James to Richard Maddox.
