San Diego schools fared well in the Division III boys’ race at the Stanford Invitational. Mission Bay and St. Augustine, the only area schools in the 29-school division that fielded 197 runners, finished first and second, with 32 and 82 points respectively.
Mission Bay’s Devin Elizondo placed first, covering the distance in 15 minutes 30 seconds. Teammate David Leavy was third at 15:52.
