The body of a motorcyclist was found Saturday in the Bankhead Springs area in east San Diego county.
Ronald Daniel Fivecoat, 32, of Jacumba, apparently failed to negotiate a turn in the 42200 block of Old Highway 80, and crashed into an embankment on the north side of the road, said a dispatcher for the California Highway Patrol.
Fivecoat had been dead since Friday, said Penny Hammerstead, an investigator in the medical examiner’s office. His body was discovered about 2:20 p.m. the next day.
Fivecoat, who was wearing a helmet, rolled 120 feet and came to rest in a dry river bed, the dispatcher said.
