Hit-and-Run Driver Sought

ORANGE — Police were searching Saturday for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident Friday night that left a bicyclist critically injured.
The bicyclist, Filigonio Vasquez, 29, was listed in critical condition at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana on Saturday. He suffered major head injuries in the accident, which occurred at 7:09 p.m. on Friday.
Vasquez was riding his bike along East Collins Avenue, just south of North Hart Street, when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene of the accident, police said. Officers passing by found the injured man in the street, Sgt. Roy Peterson said.
