Bell Gardens 35, Salesian 6--Junior Francisco Samano carried 15 times for 155 yards and two touchdowns and senior German Chavez rushed seven times for 63 yards and a touchdown as Bell Gardens beat Salesian in a Southern Section non-league game.
Senior Jimmie Gonzalez scored Salesian’s touchdown on a 58-yard pass play, his only catch of the game.
Records: Salesian 1-3; Bell Gardens 3-1.
