Your article was narrow and misleading. This lovely city is versatile, interesting and multifaceted. We have some fine gourmet restaurants with reasonable prices. There is a large variety of the kind of cultural experiences we like to have access to (and we only have to drive for 10-15 minutes).
But don’t tell anyone. Keep printing articles about $30 motel rooms where you sit around and watch “I Love Lucy” reruns. Be sure you emphasize the cheap greasy spoons. Talk a lot about ramshackle beer halls and dusty flea markets. If you write about what it’s really like, people might get the wrong idea and move here.
