UCLA plans to go before the UC Board of Regents in November with a plan to add about 1,175 club seats to Pauley Pavilion, Steve Salm, associate athletic director, said Thursday.
Salm said that public response to the project has been “overwhelming,” adding that the project’s developer has taken refundable deposits on more than 1,000 seats.

Pauley Pavilion--If approved by the UC Board of Regents, construction of 1,175 club seats will begin after the 1993-94 season, not after the 1992-93 season, as reported in Friday’s editions.
The upgraded seating area, which will feature such amenities as television, special food facilities and statistics, will be suspended from the rafters and will increase the capacity for basketball games to about 14,000.
A Pavilion Club seat is expected to cost between $1,400 and $2,800 per season, with buyers asked to sign multiyear leases, Salm said. The price will include season tickets to men’s basketball games.
If approved, construction on the project would not begin until after the 1992-93 season.
