Los Angeles : Hazardous Waste Roundup

The city Bureau of Sanitation will sponsor a free Household Hazardous Waste Roundup on Saturday.
The roundup will be held at the McDonnell Douglas Helicopter facility at 6775 Centinela Avenue in Westchester from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents can discard old paint, car oil, antifreeze, pesticides, car batteries and other waste. Explosive or radioactive materials will not be accepted. Civic officials and hazardous-waste management specialists will be on hand to answer questions. For information, call (213) 237-1634.
