I wanted to take this opportunity to both compliment and thank you for including Cockburn’s article. Cockburn is one of those rare journalists today who possess the ability to give a balanced view of the situation in Yugoslavia. I only wish that more journalists had his level of fairness in their coverage.
No ethnic or religious group in this terrible conflict is immune from blame. To single out the Serbians for near total accountability is unfair, irresponsible and repugnant to a people who have historically been one of America’s most loyal allies.
