In the wake of enforcer John Kordic’s death, the NHL will sponsor a forum on substance abuse. The league has invited the parents of every Toronto area player picked in the last two entry drafts to a seminar on Aug. 31, with NHL interim president Gil Stein as host.
The NHL Players’ Assn. is angry at not being included.
