Forkel Eliminated in Bowling Tournament

Eric Forkel of Chatsworth, the leading money winner on the Professional Bowlers Assn. tour, lost to Bill Oakes of Lawton, Okla., 257-255, Thursday in the opening match of the stepladder finals of the $125,000 Green Bay Classic in Green Bay, Wis.
Oakes, who went on to lose in the championship match, needed two strikes and seven pins in the final frame to eliminate Forkel.
